Press Release Author: Mastercraft

Industry: Retail

Press Release Summary: Milpitas, CA - The American battle tank that won World War II
for the Allies is now available as a beautiful, completely built-up 1:24 scale
model, handcrafted from wood, resin and metal.

Press Release Body: The M4 General Sherman tank has captured the hearts of many
military history buffs, and is a favorite subject among modelers. Now, collectors of
large-scale models and military enthusiasts can have a highly valuable, prominent
handcrafted display model of this popular tank, made by the very same people making
models for America for more than 30 years.

Measuring over 12 inches long from gun to rear plate, and weighing a hefty 6 lbs.,
this excellent display represents the M4A3E8, the American Sherman\'s final version.
It is decked out as the heavily-armed and armored \"Thunderbolt VII\", combat mount of
the late General Creighton William Abrams, Jr. during the last months of the war in
Europe. Abrams served until the end of the Vietnam War, and became Chief of Staff of
the US Army in 1972. The modern-day M1A1 Main Battle Tank is named after him.

This one-of-a-kind model (along with several other modern fighting vehicles such as
the M1A1 Abrams) comes from Mastercraft Collection LLC , a California company known
for fresh and innovative model plane and ship displays. In an industry largely
dominated by model planes and model ships, how will this new handcrafted product
fare? \"Nobody\'s really done anything like these tanks for the Army, or even the
Marines,\" says Edwin Susbilla, General Manager of Mastercraft. \"People are always
looking for something new and fresh. A lot of them also don\'t have the time to build
models. We believe that handcrafted tanks is an idea whose time has come.\"

This awesome model tank comes ready to display on an elegant handcarved wood base
complete with metal history plate. You can order it and many other fighting vehicles
as well as aircraft models and ship models at our website.
